Sergio Galasso

Sergio Galasso holds a university degree in International and Diplomatic Relations with particular focus on African international relations (2001-2005), and a M.A. in International Politics (2006-2008) with a thesis titled: “International Partnership Agreements: The Economic and Social Dimension of the New Relationship between EU and ACP States”. Both were obtained at the University of Naples “l’Orientale”, Italy. He has also attempted two professional courses in project management, at the Formin’ centre in Rome (2005) and at the Institute for European studies of Turin (2009).

 

Sergio has professional experience as member of the Pan-African committee based in Naples (2007-2008) where he focused on research and advocacy activities on African cultural and political related issues. He has also been employed in the International Relations office at the  University of Naples “l’Orientale” as responsible for the Erasmus Mundus mobility program (2006).

 

His main academic interests concentrate on regional integration process in ACP countries and Economic Partnership Agreements between EU and ACP states, with particular attention to the possible role of civil society in the agreements. At UNU-CRIS he will collaborate to the on-going NETRIS project (Network for Regional Integration Studies), under the supervision of the Project Coordinator Maria Cristina Macovei.
