UNU-CRIS co-organises Workshop on Circular Migration in Barcelona, 23-24 February 2012

Within the framework of the newly established United Nations International Institute on the Alliance of Civilizations (UNU-IIAOC) in Barcelona, a book project has been jointly launched by UNU-CRIS and the Center of Studies and Research on Migrations at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (CERM-UAB). The overall objective of this project is to address the topic of circular migration with regard to its multiple dimensions and human, political and civil rights implications from a global perspective.

In this context a second workshop is organised on 23-24 February 2012 at the historical site of Sant Pau (Casa Convalescencia) in Barcelona. This workshop brings together selected experts to discuss different case studies illustrating circular migration patterns and policies in different world regions and from a wide variety of perspectives.
