Valérie Schillewaert

Valérie Schillewaert is Coordinator of the Regional Centre for Expertise (RCE) on Education for Sustainable Development for the Southern North Sea region at the Comparative Regional Integration Studies Programme of the United Nations University (UNU-CRIS) in Bruges since 2008. She is responsible for the development and functional working of the RCE. She supports and works in close collaboration with partners and local/regional stakeholders in developing and realizing feasible project ideas as well as raise funds for them. At the international level, she is actively involved in the European and international RCE-network. Previously, she worked in the Coordination Unit of the European Project SAIL (Schéma d’Aménagement Intégré du Littoral) and as Coordinator of the European Project LEAD (Linked Euregion Arts Development) at the Province of West-Flanders. Valérie Schillewaert holds a Master degree in Business Economics from the Vlekho Business School. She also obtained a Master in International and European Relations at FUCAM.
